Cursor sees thru Milonic menu in Firefox

http://mesfire.com/English/Firefighter_ ... rt_03.html

In Firefox 3.5.3 (MacOS 10.5.8 ) when you mouse over the sub-menu items for Suppression Equipment the cursor see through the items and activates the Flash object below.

In IE8 (Windows XP), this does not occur. That is, it behaves correctly.

The problem also occurs with Safari 4.

Can anyone suggest a fix?
Thanks,
dave

Note:
1. I know I don't have a license for the test page. I am trying to show my customer that the Milonic Menu will work. I have purchased over 50 licenses.

Hi Dave,

I am passing this on to Milonic since I do not have mac in order to test. I just wanted to let you know that I am passing it on. But I notice on the page that there is no flash, at least I'm not seeing any flash to activate. I think they would need that.

That is Flash.

Hi Dave,

I don't see any shirt at all. I see something about a B Class Uniform Shirt, but that is actually just a gif image called Dummy_AddtoCart_460px

And when I view the source, I get no swf, I only see that insert_active file, but nothing that shows that a flash is on the page, nor do I get any message that my Flash player is too old or anything.

And, I went in Safari 4.0.3 and I just get the same thing.

Your are supposed to see this. And, you cannot use the latest version of Flash on a Mac 10.0.32.18 as it is broken. I have to downgrade to 10,0,22,87. I stripped out all the warning messages as this is a test page.

Hi,

I have to assume that it has to do with my having an old player, because I just get a blank place where you show the shirt but only in IE7 and Safari 4.0.3. I tested in NN, Opera, FF, GoogleChrome and I do get the flash, but not in IE and Safari. What's interesting is that I don't see any code calling the flash file in any of those browsers. I was going to try and get the flash and the coding from the source in those other browsers and then try and work on it for Safari, but I can't even see a call for the flash file in those browsers either. No object tag or embed tag anyplace

This code in the head
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://engage.fluidretail.com/mesfire/standard/v2/js/fluid/retail/FluidRetailDisplay.js?baseUrl=http://engage.fluidretail.com/mesfire/"></script>
is what causes the shirt to appear.

Fluid is used by:
http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/sc- ... acket.html

which has the same problem as my MESfire site and they use a CSS-driven menu.

Hi Dave,

Well, I get the same thing on that site with my IE, no flash. But, now that you've given me the information I know I can't work on this. I am going to send you to the support section because Milonic will have to do this. I have no access to Mac systems which is where you say the problem is. I can sometimes figure out the issue and suggest a fix even when I don't have mac, but not in this case.

I will post to Milonic, also giving them this information. Sorry I couldn't help here.
