strange letters appearing under a submenu

One of my clients (a board member of Evon) sees letters and what normally would suggest a select list. I do not see this and nobody else that views the site has this complaint. She is very persistant to have it solved!!, but cannot answer my question on exactly which version of Vista she is using and which browser version. Is this a known issue and can it be solved? http://216.71.150.140 is where this menu is used.

Hi,

I have seen no posts about any issue like this. I will post to Milonic. I am assuming that you have a professional license and suggest you set up a support ticket, but they will have to know what browser version and OS version. Perhaps she doesn't know how to find out. I don't know on Vista how it works but I know on Windows95, 98se and XP, if you right click on the My Computer Icon and choose properties it gives you a tabbed screen and the main one has the OS information. Then in the browser if you click on Help there is an About option which gives you the browser information.

Have you had her clear all her cache to see if that will fix whatever it is? That's all I can suggest right now. I've never seen anything like that. You don't seem to have any kind of form drop list coded on the page and none in the menu, so I can't see from where it might appear except for something in her browser....

The support section where you can fill out a ticket is http://www.milonic.com/support/ You'll need to be logged in under the name your registered when you purchased the license. I will also post to Milonic, but you will probably get faster response with the support ticket.

Just out of curiosity, is there some reason you are coding a top and left in the submenus? They should open directly below their parent without having to code that. If you wanted to move them a bit, you would use top="offset=x" where x is the number of pixels down, or if negative value up, and the same with left, left="offset=x"; But, it should open right below the item without specifying top or left.

Hello Ruth,

Thanks for your answer. I have now posted a support ticket, as I indeed have a license for the website.

As I used pictures in the top line and text in the bottom one, the outline goes to the left side of the picture and not to the start of the word. This makes a differences of some pixels (and different for each button) and the graphic designer does not allow that difference. As she absolutely wants to use a very specific font for the top line, that nobody will have in the font box, I had to make pictures for the top line. That's why I posted a left and top. I will look into your suggestion of using top offset=x. In the outlook it does not make a difference, does it??
