Populating a textbox

I am trying to populate a textbox with value(s) set in the menu. For example, if the user select menu option "Hello World" then a textbox on the page would be populated with some value or even "Hello World" without doing a postback.

Any help/examples would be greatly appreciated as I am not having much luck.
