html won't delete and js is locked

strange things happening here

My HTML file will open but:

1) I can delete it. It looks to do so but on refresh appears again.

2) If I try to save to it I get "Cannot create the home.html file. Make sure that the path and filename are correct.

3) If I try to rename it I get Cannot rename home: access is denied.

The milonic_src.js and the mmenudom.js files

1) try to move, rename and Access Denied
2) Also looks to be deletable but recreates itself
3) strangely I can overwrite it

os is xp pro

Can you be a little more detailed. What do you mean about trying to delete the page, and what exactly does this have to do with the menu?

These sound like problems related to your ISP (or your local system), and not at all to the menu itself. There's nothing we can do to help you with that.

Thinking since the js files were acting similar to the html files that maybe something with the js files were locking things up.

The html page is on a local server. I did try to manipulate the files directly from the server and with the same results.

Some files in the directory have no issues and can be manipulated in every way.

what would cause a file that has been erased to re-create themselves?

This is a caching problem. Basically, your web browser will store a copy of images viewed on your hard drive. Then, if you need to access them again they will be there instantly saving on bandwidth.

Even if you delete the file from the server it will still display in your browser. What you need to do is empty your "Temporary Files" folder and reload your browser.

You won't believe the number of times the above has fooled us, still does, even though we know the problem (well, it's not technically a problem but hey) exists and to look out for it
