Context Menu pops inconsistently

I'm trying to use the r-click context menu on our new intranet site. When I right click on the target image, I get inconsistent popup results. Most of the time, the popup displays the correct context menu. However, In certain areas of the rendered page, my right click displays the standard IE context menu.

Note, I can reproduce this error on every page load as the page coordinates where the error occurs generally stay put. ALSO, I have produced this error on the Milonic page: http://www.milonic.com/menusample27.php and snapped a print screen showing the condition. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure how to (or whether I should) attach this image in the forum.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

Not having any problem here with it on our sample that you linked. Works every time.

Yes, you can attach an image here. Note the img tag at the top of the post a reply window. Just point it to the appropriate location on your server.

Actually, a URL would be better (as requested).

Thanks John. Here's a link to view the print screen of the Milonic page. Also, I should have mentioned that I'm working with menu version 5.756.

BTW, the problem does not show in Firefox. However, I can consistently recreate the problem in IE. Again, the x,y page coordinates where the problem appears remain relatively consistent. That said...

In my page, resizing the window seems to clear the problem for one set of coordinates but if I r-click around the page, I can usually find a new set of coordinates where the problem resurfaces.

For support in the Forum you need to be running the current version. At this time that is 5.758. Please upgrade.

I upgraded to the latest version and the problem still exists.

One more data point. The Milonic page pops both the Milonic context menu and the IE context menu. My page pops only the IE context menu.

In both IE6 and IE7 I cannot get the Milonic page to show anything except the Milonic context menu, regardless of where on the page or how many times I click.

Again - a URL (as requested) would help.

John:

Sorry, I misunderstood your request for an URL in your last message. Regarding our URL, the site is an intranet sitting behind our firewall. Even if I could get our network admin to open a hole for you, the site contains sensitive info (students names and photos) so, unfortunately, we're not permitted to give anyone access.

Since the problem occurs, for me, on the Milonic site too, I thought that would suffice as a site you could view. I can generate the error at will by clicking in a certain area - and only that area - on the Milonic page. Try clicking around to the right of the link that reads: "Click here to download this sample". Also, I just experimented with the window size. A "maximized" window doesn't show the problem. However, when you manually size the window to a smaller size, the problem appears.

John:

I reposted the screen print image, this time showing the location of the cursor (arrow). Maybe this can help you pinpoint the zone that pops the IE context menu. Here it is again:

John:

Have you had any success in reproducing the popup bug on your system following my last posts?

Hi,

I've posted to Milonic, hopefully they can find out what's up and will have it fixed as soon as possible, they are pretty good at working to get things fixed quickly.
