Help please

and was wondering if it was possible to make the menu's links highlight using mouseover as described here: http://www.permadi.com/tutorial/highlig ... index.html

Also I am using this opensource image technique: http://www.permadi.com/tutorial/highlig ... index.html
However the menu remains ontop of the images when i open them on the same page. Is there anyway to keep the menu behind this?
