Menu with subdivisions

Hi all,
I need some help on making a menu. I want to use a vertical menu with subdivisions, divided by a title (actually creating multiple categories, with options for each category). I tried doing this by creating multiple individual menus, and placing them under each other. Looks great, but once you start scrolling the page, they overlap each other.
I am completely new to this, so any help is appreciated, and the more detail, the better.
Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Hi Rob,
If we had a page we could be more specific, but you can try the collapse menu and you can try a regular one using headers. The collapse menu doens't open subs onmouseover, it uses on click. You could probably set it up so you code the 1st level subs, which are directly below their parent item to be alwaysvisible.
In the header ones, headers are just specialized aI strings which are just headers.

Hi Ruth,
thanks for your assistance. I worked things out by copying a part of a menu that was close to what I looked for, with another menu. I got things working the way i wanted now.
If I had had more patiience, I would have worked it out before i posted, but well...
thanks again for your help

I hope this works:
The page isn't important. The menu layout (left) is.

Hi Rob,
If this isn't what you want, just post back and I'll see what else I can figure out.

Ruth,
it isn't exactly what i wanted, because I wanted the menu to scroll along with the pages. However, I have the go-ahead from my chief to proceed with what i have currently made, so, for the mean time, I am fine. Thanks for your help, and I will use it in a later time (because I do want to get it my way, eventually)

Hi Rob,
Here is a zip with just the page and a data file. Just put it with the other one that has all the images. This has everything in the data file set to followscroll. However, it won't followscroll because there is a conflict with a script you are running that causes that to not work. The script in conflict is the q counter. But, the data file is there and complete, and the calls for the menu on the page are correct, and on the page I removed the ul/li things on the left which are now the menu.

Hi Rob,
Did you get this yet? In case I was a bit confusing in what I said, this data file is a regular data file, the menus are not in a table, you position them absolutely so they will followscroll when set to do that [except for the conflict with that script. You'd have to contact Milonic directly about that to find a solution.
Please let me know when you get this file so I can remove it. Thanks
Ruth
