Status information doesn't work

I have been running a collapsible tree menu for a while and last week my company got the license.

Problem 1:
When I changed the old files (mmenudom.js v5.743) to the new v5.756 the statusfield doesn't work anymore.
I did a comparison between the files and couldn't find any status information in the new one. Maybe you have just coded it, I dont know.
But I really would like it to work.

Problem 2:
Since I use the collapsible tree menu I was wondering when/if I can get a licensed one of those. Or can I in some way use the menu_data.js file and get the same function? That file is not used at all right now.

I have not updated the files on the web yet but could perhaps do that if you think it is neccessary.

Regards
/Fred

The license you purchased is for any sample including the treemenu. It is for a particular url. You could actually, though I'm not sure why anyone would, you could use a different menu sample on each page :)

As to the other issue, the status that has been removed from the program

Code:
Removed the property status from the menu. Changing the status text is now seen as a security issue and all modern browsers have disabled this feature by default. The reason why changing the status text is considered unsafe is because of the way phishing attacks work. The cyber criminal will show that a link is going to a trusted address but in reality it is going to a different website that will try to obtain bank account and credit card details entered by an un-knowing individual. Anything that we can do to prevent this from happening will be looked at with care and attention

You could possibly use title to get some kind of text to appear to show info you want to put. Title will put in a yellow box with text in it from the title= in the aI string. Note this is a problem for some based on where it appears when you mouseover an item. The other option is to use tooltips which will also appear on mouseover of an item but which you can actually design.

Take a look at the tooltips page http://www.milonic.com/tooltips.php
If you decide to use tooltips don't forget to download the newest tooltips.js from the Bolt-on modules. http://www.milonic.com/menumodules.php it's about the middle of the page.

Hope this helps.

Status is still showing up as a useable property in the "howtobuild.html" file and on the Menu Items Properties page: http://www.milonic.com/itemproperties.php

If status is a security issue maybe that could be mentioned in both of these places.

Just a thought...

Hi,

I think Milonic is in the middle of a site update so that will probably be changed also.
