Menu not displaying, instead just blank space with scrollbar

I have created a menu using v5.0 and it's been working fine for ages for 1000s of users on IE and Firefox.

Now just *one* user is having problems with the menu. She's using IE6.0, and instead of the menu (a horizontal menu, with drop-down sub-options) all that is displayed is a blank white space with UP/DOWN scrollbars at the right hand side (which are not normally visible when the menu is displayed correctly).

I've checked her browser settings, cleared the cache, relevant cookies, etc. but can't find what's causing this.

The problem is affecting some of my sites that use Milonic menus, but at least one site is working okay. I've looked for differences between it and the other sites, but all I can find are the differences one would expect in the file defining the menu text, colours, etc.

Anyone seen something similar?

POSSIBLE CLUE: Apart from text/colour differences, the only difference I can see between the site that works and those that don't is that those that don't have settings:

overfilter="Fade(duration=0.4);Alpha(opacity=80);Shadow(color='#777777', Direction=135, Strength=4)";
outfilter="randomdissolve(duration=0.2)";

Could these cause a problem?

Hi,

There's no way we could tell without seeing the site. I have IE 6, so if I were able to see it, then it would most likely be something in the user's security settings.

This seems to be the same problem as described at http://www.milonic.com/mfa/2003-October/002734.html

Any menus, on our sites or other sites, that use ActiveX fade-ins and fade-outs, are not appearing.

The URL above says it's probably a corruption in the browser's ActiveX support, so we'll get the user to re-install IE6 and hopefully that should fix it.
