Why are the buttons here (About Us, Ministries, and Events) reloading constantly?

Hi,

I'm not seeing them reload, but you need to rename the menus. You have placed each in it's own table cell but you've named them the same. Try making them top menu, top menu1 top menu 2 or something. That might fixed the problem in whichever browser is doing it.

Hi Ruth, are you sure? I'm using IE 6.0.29 on a PC.

The page isn't reloading.. just those 3 images... they're flickering and I see in the status bar repeated calls to the server for the images... again and again...

I tried renaming the menus, but nogo.. still flickering.

Do you have "Temporary Internet Files" set to "Every Visit to the page" or "Automatic"

My guess is that you've not got your browser set to cache the images

hmm, yes andy I do... and I just turned it to automatic... and I see that the flickering went away.

But I'm still confused; that shouldn't matter should it? I can't control a user's temp int settings. There is another web site that i developed and it uses images for menus as well here.. and there's no flicker:

Hi,

Yes, I'm sure. I'm on IE5.5. I notice that you have placed the images using the img tag. Have you tried using the built in image= and see if that fixes it for you? I'm not sure why you have it set up like that.
