I am probably out-of-line here, but has anyone considered using the Milonic Menu (which has some wonderful features) within a DotNetNuke installation? I would love to take advantage of the beautiful menu structures and combine it with the security and power of DNN.

If it has been done, please let me know how...if not, can we consider it?

Thanks,
Ling

Hi,

I don't know anything about dotnetnuke, and it seem to be outside anything in my 'database' :) However you include files to get a page on it, I would think you could do the same with the Milonic Menu.

I don't know that anyone here knows about that setup, maybe if you posted how you'd include other js files we could give you some direction on including the Milonic files.

http://www.dotnetnuke.com (portal application)
http://www.solpart.com (default menu)

It's all open source, so you can check it out, when you have the time.

Thanks,
Ling

Hi Ling,

Thanks. I can look at it, but I probably won't understand. I just help on Milonic forum because I really love this menu and it has so many things you can do. I can usually solve things for people unless the problem has to do with advanced stuff like asp php functions.

I don't know if this is anything you might need or will help

Just wanted to post my agreement with the author of this thread that DotNetNuke really rocks for creating websites in no time flat -- with full functionality. A truly fantasic tool.

BTW, they just came out with a new version 4.0, which is written for ASP 2.0.

Sorry I can't offer any insight into changing the menu system to Milonic though.

Andy,

Are you aware of any current installations of DNN that use Milonic?

I don't know of any that support DOTNetNuke.

There is one on Sourceforge for ASP.NET here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/vclibmenu - not sure if it helps though
