positioning

i am using a menu, and have worked out there are two ways of positioning a menu, using cooridinates or specifying left/right/center

the trouble is, i need to use cooridnates as i have sa specific position to put my menu, but when the window is resized, it appears in a different position relative to the other content on the page.

There are ways to combine both methods of positioning that you mentioned. I.e., see this sample. You can also use relative positioning and put your main menu in a table cell, as shown in this sample.

If you can provide a url to a sample page, we can give you a better idea of how to position your menu.
