Dropdowns not aligned with tabs in Mozilla

There seems to be a problem with the position of the drop down menus when the user needs to scroll horizontal in a Mozilla browser.

This can be easily repeated by opening Mozilla and browsing to the Milonic web site. Then reduce the width of the browser so you have to horizontally scroll to get over to the tabs on the right. When you mouse over on the tabs, the drop downs appear left of where they should be (and by the amount you have scrolled)

I appears that the scrollPosition is not being calcualted correctly when on Mozilla.

Is there a fix or workaround for this?

Cheers,
Mike.

I suspect that's the anti-collision feature kicking in. See this topic.

Unfortunately this is not the problem. Even with ignoreCollision=true; the drop down does not display in the correct position when you scroll in Mozilla.

Thanks, Mike.

Got a URL (your site, not ours)?

Unfortunately not. I am working on an internal intranet site. However, the same problem happens on the Milonic site.

It's very odd, John. What it seems to be doing is:

when you open Milonic site in Firefox or Netscape and after the menu loads, make the width of the browser window smaller. If you then scroll over what you see is the actual 'menu' part the part with the border around it gets smaller, but the items stay at the same place like they are hanging over the right side. Like the menu items don't move from their original position. So, when you mouseover one of those items, the sub is opening over the place in the menu where it would normally be, rather than below the item at that hang over place.

Hi,

This bug has been fixed for version 5.728 due for release shortly.

There is now a pre-release at http://www.milonic.com/menuvinfo.php where this code has already been placed.

Hope this helps,
Andy

Hi Andy,

Unfortunately the release has not fixed the bug.

I have downloaded and installed version 5.728 but the drop downs still do not align with the tabs when you have to scroll horizontally in firefox.

This bug can also still be seen on your site where you are running 5.728.

Cheers,
Mike.
