Remotely open submenu

Is it possible to remotely open a submenu from a button somewhere else on the website?
Or even better. Could the submenu be opened under this button.

Since you can have more than one menu on any given page, just set up your 'remote button' as another menu.

Yes to both questions. Use the popup() function, described on the "Methods and Functions" page.
