Undefined URL in Main menu

Hi, new user, trying to get the menu system (V5.66) to work flawlessly.

I have everything working well, except one minor issue.

When you hover over a main menu item, the Status bar shows a URL property of (serverpath to host file)/undefined - when you click, that URL is then retrieved.

It seems that somehow, the Menu thinks that url is a valid HREF and requests it. I note that I do not get the javascript void(0) link on my pages when a main menu item is clicked that I do get on the Milonic site pages.

The main menus are located within a table cell inline for the page.

A public (early comp) version can be seen at

http://www.northcountybobbysox.org/newsite/

The 'undefined' link behavior only occurs for menu items without a URL on the main menu, not sub-menus. Check out the menu items in the Links submenu to see the difference, which does not display a URL in the Status Bar, but does give the Void result...

Any help appreciated; this is driving me nuts !

Other than that, the menu system is wonderful !

Thanks.

John.

P.S. I'm testing on IE6 on both Win XP and Win2K and seeing identical behavior on both.

You've got the menu in a div, which it doesn't like. I removed it and the menu works fine. See http://www.west.asu.edu/sa/testsite/.

Thanks for the kind words - most appreciated!

It's the div. If you remove that you will see the behavior is gone.
