transparent background in menu?

Hi, I want to put my menu over an image and want to be able to see the image through the menu, in the mouse off condition, but when I mouse over the menu I want each menu item to change to a solid color.

If I define a style with no offbgcolor it works fine - I see the image and when I mouse over an item it goes to the solid color defined by onbgcolor - proble is that when I mose off, instead of reverting to a transparent state, the menu stays at the onbgcolor colur, hiding the image when the mouse is mouved away.

Is there any solution to this?
