Confused on shared borders

Frontpage stores the left table cell border in a folder called _borders. I am confused as to whether the code needs to go into the regular index page or whether it should go in the shared border page. Any thoughts?

The JS call to the _data file needs to go in the td where you want to menu to appear, regardless of where FP hides it. See this for more help.
