Has anyone run into this where the submenus appear when you mouseover a main menu choice. But, when you move your cursor off of the main menu and onto the submenu, the submenu disappears.

Hi,
I didn't respond to the SharePoint because I don't know anything about it or how you get the menu on the page etc.
If you could give a link to a page with the menu so we can see what's up, or post the menu data file and page html here using the code tags, I'd be glad to see what I can figure out.

Ruth,
Thank you so much for your offer. The problem is that this is on an internal SharePoint site and I cannot get that environment outside so that you can see it.
Once again, Thank you

Hi,
Without being able to see the code we really have no idea why this might be happening, or rather there could be too many reasons. For example, is the menu in a table? Is it coded correctly for that? Are the calls for the menu files right after the body tag? Are the submenus opening right next the main menu or off someplace else? What browsers have the problem, all of them, some of them?
Can you post the html page code and menu_data.js code? We could set up a page for testing to see what's going on with that information.
Also, we need to know what version of the menu you are using.

Hi
infact, had the same problem, when I started defining menudata files.
There were syntax errors, ommitted semicolons and such things.
I do no really remember details, but it is extremely important to avoid syntax errors.

Thanks for the info.
What I did was to take a Milonic example, make sure that it ran properly in regular HTML, and then took the code and put it into SharePoint. I have done this with other things and is a proven way to get a basic script into SharePoint.
The whole SharePoint environment is internal to our company so I cannot even give you the code to look at.
Once again... thanks!

Hi,
Sorry to say that, but even on Milonic pages, the typo gremlin (or printer´s devil?) occasionally makes some trouble ! So pls. take the code from the sample pages source code (browsers source code) and not from the print below.
It is a pity, but a) I do not know much about the environments of "SharePoint" and b) if those who want to give advice cannot have a look, e.g. if the files are placed in a correct way into the code of your pages etc. and many other issues. One hint: Please distinguish between absolute positioning and relative positioning. And then of course the speciality of - and when - frames are used etc. and there are so many different applications possible. See all these samples, particularly when you are modifying the styles and take care, that some environment´s css files may have an unwanted impact.
Good luck - Michael
