Shift text to right when using bgimage on submenu

I see in the Milonic Menu example that you use backoff_green.gif as the bgimage. What property moves the text a few spaces over to appear to the right of the green bar? I know this should be simple but I can't seem to figure it out.

Hi Lara,

Here's the Milonic Home Site menu sample. If you look at the bottom of that page it shows the coding. Look at the vertStyle and you'll see image="/menuimages/18_blank.gif";

Most items have images in them, but for those that don't that 18_blank.gif becomes an image in the item and shifts the text over. It's just a transparent image.
