Menu items not responding to click

First the specs:

Windows XP
Firefox 1.02
Milonic: Version 5.52

Sometimes when I click on the items in my menu, my browser doesn't respond. When I click on links within a web page, I'm okay, but the menu just doesn't want to respond to me at times.

Does anyone know whether this is a Firefox issue or maybe I've misconfigured something in my menu_data.js file?

Any help is appreciated . :)

You have to upgrade the menu to the newest version. There were some bugs fixes, some related to openonclick after the version you have. Make sure you keep the files you now have on your site someplace so they don't get overwritten, just in case there's some conflict between the new version and your site coding.

Thanks, Ruth. I'll download the latest and post back if I have any further questions. :)

Oh, I forgot to mention, too, that it was even happening on milonic.com. :( I'm guessing you guys keep it just as current, but thought I should call it to your attention in case we're talking about something else.

JFI. I've got the same Firefox using win98se and the links work OK. I just checked every one on Milonic.com. Maybe it's an issue with XP and Firefox or maybe the menu and the combination of those two.

I was just about to say that the upgrade was what solved the problem, but before I did, I decided to check my new menu one more time and sure enough -- no response.

Honestly, it was working fine earlier today on another computer (running Windows XP). And now I'm on my home computer (also running XP) and it's ignoring me.

To make sure I'm not overlooking anything with the upgrade, here's what I did:

--uploaded the files to my directory on my server
--modified the "menu_data.js" file (actually, I pasted everything in from my original one because it basically looked identical; is that where I went wrong?)

If you care to take a look, here's my site (it's still in development, but the menu is current): http://www.familywebwatch.com/index2.php

I should point out that this does not happen in IE. So maybe it's FF v1.02?

The menu works for me using Firefox 1.0.2 on Windows XP

Just looked at it with FF1.0.2 and XP Pro SP2. No problems at all. The menus dropped every time and were very responsive.

Sounds like something is funky at home... :)

Stephen snuck in there while I was getting my post up (thank you). Adds a little more clout to the home problem theory.

Thanks for the help guys!

Now I'm wondering if it might have something to do with the extensions I'm using with FF. While the menus have always dropped down for me, they're still not responding to clicks both at home and the office.

I recently upgraded FF (within the past couple of weeks) and have had some troubles with it crashing a few times. I'm thinking a fresh FF install is in order.

Again, thanks for your help in narrowing this thing down. :)
