The demo page is position_test.html. The last menu item is a form. Its look-n-feel in IE is fine, but is not good in NS. BTW, the menu js is the newest release of Sep 16.

I have IE5.5 and Netscape 7 and teh search part looks the same in both browsers. In Netscape though the other items look as if they are sitting down lower, into the blue line, whereas in IE the bottom sits right at the top of the blue line.

By the way, what exactly are you trying to get with the 'alignment=left' item? Aligment is not a property of either style/menu/item. Align is the property and it aligns the text.

I removed alignment="left" from the data file. Both Opera and firefox have the same position issue. However IE 5.5 or up is fine. See screenshot of Opera, screenshot of Firefox (1.0 PR).

The info of Opera is as follows:
Quote:
opera:about
Version information
Version 7.51
Build 3798
Platform Win32
System Windows XP

Java Sun Java Runtime Environment version 1.5
VoiceXML Plugin not available

Yes, I see, that is what's happening in Netscape also. It does have to do with either the css margins, padding or the default margins. I've tried to play with it, but can't seem to find from where the problem is coming. I'll keep at it.
