created menu - wont appear on site

i uploaded allfiles etc and the menu worked perfect, i then edited menu details and again it worked perfect, i continued to edit and now the menu wont appear on site, i have tryed recoding everything again twice,but not luck, im currently using the free downlaod menu, any ideas :/

Hi Chrisy,

We'll need a few more details. You say you uploaded and the menu won't appear on the site. It would be best if you could provide a url to the site, so we could check it out, see what's happening (or not happening in this case) and examine the code. Can you do that? If not, post the code from your menu_data.js file here, making sure that it's between [code][/code] tags. We'll get it figured out.

i got it working now apart from 1 thing, im using images as titles for the top row manin menu and text for the subs, i want to use transparent gifs for the images, but when i do this the background appears behind the image, and if i remove this then the text background will be removed, any ideas please!

Given what you said, leave the style definition, whatever you called it, as is for the main menu. You can create another style for the submenus. The easiest way is to copy and paste the style you have and then rename it and change whatever you want. Make sure that you put the new style name into each menu you want to use that style. There is section on the forum called Beginners' Guide. There are explanations of creating styles. You might check those out.

I believe, if you just leave out the bgcolor it defaults to some color. You can use offbgcolor="transparent"; and the same thing for the onbgcolor. Just remember to have a style for the text submenus that has a background color so the text shows.
