Having MAC Problems (DHTML Menus over Flash)

I am currently having difficulty with menus not showing up and falling below a flash animation. I have gotten it to work with Internet Explorer, Foxfire, and Netscape on the PC. My problem has come when I have tested it on MAC with Internet Explorer (doesn't show up) and Safari (falls behind the animation). Have tried all the methods I know. Any help would be very much appreciated. The test address is:

EDIT: I can also provide source files if you would like. I have tried all the methods I could find in this forum and on the internet, from setting the z-index for the menu higher to setting the wmode to transparent. This maybe something very simple, but I have no way of testing because I don't have a MAC.

Well that is odd, I mouse over the menu, everything below disappears.

I'm using Safari.

Maybe John is familiar with flash?

I have no idea why it is doing that. It works fine with most PC browsers, but not with MAC. I'm stumped!!

Hi chadedan,

I combined the new part of your latest post with the one that started this thread, since they were mostly the same. I deleted the latest post so that we would not have two threads with the same subject; avoids confusion among other users that way.

With Mac/IE, I think you're out of luck if youre goal is to have layered dhtml content (like the menus) appear on top of a flash clip. There are options, like using the div hiding function to hide the flash when the menus open (only in affected browsers), but the options are limited.

If you use the forum's search function and look for "flash" or for "hide div" you should come across several topics that discuss the problem and the div hiding solution in more detail. Here's one topic that might be of interest.
