V5 Menu on Mac OS X - Safari and IE

V5 thru 5.1 exhibits display problems on Mac OSX; it displays normally on Windows XP SP1 / IE 6.01
The issue arose once we moved to using IFRAME's. I understand IFRAMEs are supported, whereas normal FRAME's are not. The IFRAME works perfectly on WinXP / IE 6.
Platform OS: Mac OSX 10.2.8
Browser: Safari 1.0.2
Issue: Menu is drawn across the IFRAME, however you cannot select any menu entries below the IFRAME border.
Platform OS: Mac OSX 10.2.8
Browser: IE 5.2
Issue: Menu does not draw across the IFRAME.
Example URL: http://www.cacdenver.org/
Please advise on how I can correct (possibly using HTML or menu data), or an ETA on updates to the menu that will correct.
Thanks!

I see when I roll over a submenu lower down, the submenu disappears, sorry I don't know enough about this function to help but confirm what is happening.

Has anybody else had a chance to look at it?
The FAQ info speaks about using IFRAMES instead of the unsupported FRAMES, which I did.
Is it an issue with the menu code? If so, is there an ETA on fixing? (Since it works perfectly on the PC, and just fails on the Mac OSX, it seems to be a compatibility issue with OSX browsers.
Also, how can I escalate this issue with Milonic?
Thanks!

Yeah, what gives? I also have this problem and I'm using iFrames with milonic because frames are not supported. I'm afraid I may have to use a different menu system if there is not support for using the milonic menus in safari on a page with iFrames...
Any news on this problem?
Thanks

Fullejo,
I can't see since you don't have a url if you have the newest version of the menu and if you have tested to see if that issue has been fixed.

I also have the exact same problem. Works perfectly in PC environment, but not on Macs.
Use version 5.40

I've had the same problem since EARLY versions of 5.
No one seems to be able to fix the problem.
First & Second level menus work fine, but once the thrid level menu pops up over the iframe, the menu just dissapears...

Under OS X10.3.5/Safari1.2.3 (v125.9), I don't think I saw any problems. Under PWM's I dropped down to 2000 and got to that page. All sub-menus were on top of the iFrame.
One solution

I had the same problems (see above post). In the end I used a buffer iframe to display in a div (using a script from http://www.dyn-web.com, but im sure there are others). It seems to be working nicely. Now I just have to fill the page with nice content.
I've noticed that in some older browsers the hidden iframe shows up as a small box at the bottom of the page, but i dont care about that..
I think this may be the only way to work around the problem?

With 5.40, the Safari problem I've been having is gone. All 3rd level menus don't dissapear when anymore

I checked your site out and it's still closing the menus when you mouse over a menu that's placed over the iFrame...
The point is, it doesn't seem to have been fixed in v5.4

John,
I don't know what's going on with http://www.cacdenver.org (which is what I assume you're talking about) but there doesn't seem to be an iFrame under the menu in question so that's not a good example. A better exmple would be the menu found on Fulmers site. I'm sorry I can't post a link to my site, it's in our intranet and is thus password protected.
I can post a sample page with an iFrame and a menu so that we can test with that.

I didn't have time to look at the code there - just "ass-umed" that was the page in error, since it was listed in the post.

OK, point Safari to:
http://www.myriadstudios.com/menuTest/menu.htm
And you'll see the problem.
