Page flashes and Slow loading on certain pages

We are currently testing the new menu system for our browser based application.

I have designed the page so that the menu is in the starting page and then there is an IFRAME within that page which will house the content. That way we have a menu that only loads once. And the drop downs will lay over the IFRAME.

The first problem we have is that when the drop down opens or any sub menus open the page blanks out and then redraws itself. It doesn't appear to hit the server but just redisplays.
(However this does not happen on one of our pages where the data is encapsulated in a DIV with absoulute positioning. It appears that if items are in a DIV with absolute positioning then the flicker does not occur)

The second problem that we are having is that on one of our pages we pull data from our database and display it using a browser-client interface from Magic (don't know if you are familiar with them). Any way it allows us to have tables and then be able to highlight rows and mouse down like in excel. When this page loads the menu takes 3 seconds to open and same with the sub menu. Any ideas?

We currently do not have a url to the outside. This is all in internal dev. I will try to get one up, but i hope you have enough information to start thinking about it.

We would like to know if you have any thoughts or ideas. We would like for this to work because your menu has lots of flexibility.

We will purchase an unlimited domain package if we can get this to work in our prototypes.

Thanks

Rich
