Clicking outside of menu to make it disappear?

I made my menus OnClick. However, they still disappear when you move the mouse outside of them.

Is it possible to make the menus disappear only after you click somewhere else in the browser? Like the regular Windows menus.

Thanks.

I'm not sure but you might do a search, set it to version 5 only and version 5 forum and search for onclick, click functions and any other combination that come to mind :) . I'm not sure about setting it so that it reads if you click on the page and not on something in the menu, but I know there were a lot of posts about various onclick questions.

I'm having the same problem...I was able to emulate windows menu functionality well with the old 3. version of the menus but I can't figure out a way to do this with the 5. version.

Also, I'd like to open on click, but if a menu is currently open, be able to mouse over the other menus and have them open on mouseover. Again, I'm trying to get as close to Windows as possible. Any help greatly appreciated!

Someplace in this forum is a post about click and something about retainvalue or something. I'm sure a search would find it.

Check this thread (probably the one Ruth had in mind).

A million thanks Kevin, that did the trick! Now if I could only get the click-off to close working I'd be in great shape :D

Basically I'm trying to do what the first post is mentions, make it such that menus remain visible until I click off the menu anywhere on the page. I have yet to find a way to do this via searching previous posts...
