New Version

Kevin, on the new version code, I know the data file does not get replaced. Do ALL other files get updated? My head is still back in Version 3.x which I use in tandem with 5.x since scrolling menus don't always scroll correctly in Mozilla -- but maybe that has been fixed as I'm still in 5.18 :!: Going to download that update now.

Hi mfurf,

Yep... when you get an update, it will contain three files that you'll want to upload your server: milonic_src.js, mmenudom.js, and mmenus4.js.

Before uploading to your server, it might be wise to make sure you have copies of the three files in the older version, in case you get an unexpected result and want to revert back to the older version while you investigate the new one locally.

(You probably know this, but for the sake of completeness...) when you upload the three new files, upload them to the same location as the older versions of the same three files, to replace the old with the new.

Cheers,

Kevin

Don't forget to upload them as text. Don't trust 'automatic', or whatever. Not all ftp programs handle it properly.

If you already know this, I'll just go back to my nap...

Much obliged to the Kevin/John combo, the best in the business. I use UltraEdit-32 for ftp which provides the option of ASCII or BINARY for upload. Oftentimes I forget to set it to ASCII and find that it works no matter what the setting.

But for code edits [as distinct from html uploads] I first test offline on my system.

P.S. The removal of quotes did the job. Now why didn't I think of that? Because somewhere in my head Andy was saying 8O "you need the quotes unless it's a mathematical number." /mf
