I have a menu on the site above I was wondering whether I could have little images next to the text would I use the [IMG] tag?

You could use an <img> tag, but it'd be better to use the menu system's built-in image handling. On the menu item properties quick reference page, you'll find a bunch of properties that begin with 'image' (image, imagealign, imagewidth, imageheight, etc.). The image property is where you specify the image file to use for the menu item. The rest of the 'image___' properties affect the image itself.

You can go to http://www.milonic.com, open the 'DHTML Menus' menu at the top, then the 'Samples' menu... you'll find links to a bunch of image-based samples toward the bottom of the Samples menu.
