netscape 7.x on mac submenu disappearing on rollover?

Has anyone else had this problem? I am using a relatively positioned menu and on mac OS9 and OSX with netscape 7.x when I go to rollover a submenu it disappears. I moved the js code calls for the menus to right below the opening body tag and have followed all the guidelines for correct relative positioning of submenus. Sometimes if I rollover the submenu verrrry slooowly it does not disappear. It doesn't always happen on all submenus and that is the tough part. It seems pretty random.
