Image alt tags & asp

I have just donwloaded the lovely menu script with image roll overs but as I am trying to code to w3 standards I need to somehow put alt tags into those images.

Can anybody help?!?!

I am also wondering if it's possible at all to implement a bit of asp into the script. I am used to have one navigation and have a script to say if it's in a certain folder the image should be on. If anybody knows what I mean, is there a possibility to do this with this script?

You can add
imagealt=my imaginery friend;

to any menuitem.
