Help/Support needed

Hi,
I have just started looking after a site that uses version 5 of the milonic dynamic menu. We are using an education licence, so I don't think I can request proper support from the milonic team.

However, there are many javascript errors on my home page, and I don't know how to fix them! I have had a look at the javascript, and it seems to be occurring somewhere in the milonic_js....

What to do? :(
Regards,
Erin

Hi,

What's the URL of the site?

You could backup your JS files and replace them with those of the latest version to make sure that your site is working ok with the java first. Then drop your menu_data.js file back in.

You will need to update the menu, you'll need to login, maybe someone there has that info.

Version 5.0 Release Candidate 8.0

Check the instructions when you get to latest version, it might have changed from what you have there.

Maz is, as usual, quite correct.

RC8 is somewhere in the vicinity of 60-70 versions down-level, and is no longer supported. v5.14 is current as of this morning. You will need to upgrade at http://milonic.com/.

Read the install files that come with the download. A lot has changed since then (no more scriptpath, _data file syntax changes, JS menu call changes, etc.).

Also see http://www.milonic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2981 for some updated reading material (homework!).

Once you have that going, come on back if you're still having problems.
