What Browsers are compatible with Milonic Menu?

Hello all,

I recently came across this wonderful menu system and successfully managed to get it working on a test project on a PC. I had intended to use it on a client site however upon further testing could not get it to work on a Mac. I am not interested in trouble shooting that particular case but am interested in knowing how far back this menu system can work to evaluate whether to use it in future projects.

Can anyone give me a definitive list of all browsers and platforms for which this menu system works?

I care more about older browsers like netscape 4.7 and older mac versions of IE as these are the ones that are going to mess up - not the newer sexier browsers like safari etc. If it isn't compatible with the older browsers then i will have to use something else as telling the client to upgrade the browser to view their own website doesn't really look good. I tried to find this information on the rest of the site but had no luck.

Thanks for any help you can give.

When you download the menu, there are docs that come with it and inside of one of those are the list of browsers.
But I recently answered this question and found it doing a search of the forums for 'compatibility'...heres the thread.

I'm not sure, but I think if you keep the menu really simple in the left position it could work on lesser browsers, the biggest problem is background color covering up the page, I haven't tested this but I wonder if using transparent on top of html color would prevent this from happening.

Also, slow the menu down a bit, cross all you t's so to speak, add returns to every line, remove all nulls, leave a little space between equals in the main style items. Sometimes its the connection speed, if it doesn't come up correctly the first time usually it does on the reload, so you might know a way of it getting it the first time on a slow connection more than I do.

Just an idea,

maz

thanks
