RC11: idemwidth command appears to be broken

When I installed RC5 some time ago, either hergio or jgillett suggested that, until the "overallwidth" variable is implemented, I should be using the following as an additional main menu line after my main menu entries.

You will see that it contains "itemwidth=100%" in second position to cause the menu bar to extend up to the right edge of my screen. Curiously, after installing RC11 (24 September 2003), this no longer works and my menu bar stops at the end of the last menu entry, i.e., a few inches from the right edge of my screen. Is this a bug or should I now use a different command? Thanks in advance.
