followscroll footsteps

Hopefully this will be the last note on followscroll from me.
note: mac ie5.1.7
When clicking on the browser :scrollbar: up or down a page, followscroll acts normally.
When I use the browser  to slowly go back up the page, the menu leaves footprints all down the page with each click.
Its impossible to see the difference between the footprint and the real menu, other than I know that the menu is the top one.
Anyone else see this
Warm regards
maz
