Hallo Schwepsi,
Das Menu ist sichtbar. Ich hab's mit dem IE5.5 und dem Mozilla getestet.

Hallo Schwepsi und Martin,
Hope you guys don't mind me jumping in...
I can't really follow the whole thread (not too good at German), but the clues I get are (1) the test site works in an older IE and in Mozilla, but not in IE6 and (2) the original Milonic implementation works. So, the answer must be in something that IE6 does that Mozilla doesn't do and in some code that was changed (I assume) form the Milonic download to the test site implementation. What does IE6 do that Mozilla doesn't? The suspect is transition filters!
The problem is in the following line of the menuStyle array, in menu_data.js
Code:
overfilter="Fade(duration=0);Alpha(opacity=0);Shadow(color='#777777', Direction=135, Strength=5)";
You've set the Duration of the Fade effect to 0, which by itself is not a big problem, but it does essentially cancel that part of the overfilter effect. the real problem is that you've set opacity=0 in the Alpha() filter. the Alpha() filter is a way to control the element's transparency, which is how the Milonic examples get their "see though" effect in newer versions of IE (other browsers don't have these effects, which is why your menu works in Mozilla). The opacity parameter can vary from 0 to 100, where 0 is "no opacity" (completely transparent) and 100 is completely opaque (no transparency). By setting opacity to 0, you've rendered your menu completely see through... it's there, you just can't see it! Try setting opacity to a value of 75 or greater. Use 100 if you want to make the menu non-transparent or, better yet, remove the Alpha() part of the filter. If you don't want to use any of the filter, comment the line out or remove it entirely.
Hope that helps,
Kevin
P.S. Nice to see you back on the forums Martin.
