Sub-menus to open UPWARDS

Hi guys--

Is there a way to "absolutely position" the lower horizontal menu and still have the sub-menus expand UP?

I've currently got it set for "bottom", but:

1. makes it harder to align with the vertical menu, as is evident. I could resolve this (on mine) by lowering the positioning of the vertical and top menus...

2. BUT this is certainly getting messed up for other viewers.
