Missing File in 4.1.12?

Is the absence of, "menu_data.js" in the 4.1.12 zipped version intentional?

Yes, it wasn't needed and was causing a little confusion.

Is there a problem with us removing it?

It caused a bit of confusion on this end because of Beta status.

I don't know if the missing file is no longer needed at all (can be deleted) , or if it wasn't updated? When a directory file pattern changes, it's nice to know what's in and what's out.
