Hi everyone

My first post. The menu seems to load after all my pics, and I need it to load before .. how do I control this?

Cheers

Hi

http://207.44.244.38/~granite/examples.php4

(it's all in development at the moment, so it's a mess, but you can see what I mean, hopefully).

I'm using Mozilla, W98.

Under XP Pro and IE6 and NS7.02 I see the menus coming in at the same time as the graphics. One thing you might try is moving the 2 menu calls up to immediately after the <body> tag, rather than after the <table>.

Even with the menu straight after the body opening tag, in NN6 it waits till all the pics have displayed in full before showing the menu. IE 4 does display the menu at the same time as it displays the outlines of the images, then it displays the images. Mozilla seems to have stopped displaying it altogether on all screens but I shouldn't worry too much about that atm.

If it's not consistent and depends on the browser, and if 'just after the body' is where it should be, and no-one else is having this problem, then I'll let it rest a moment and see if the problem comes up consistently here, particularly I think I need to reboot Mozilla and I'm working on something else atm.

Thanks for you help tho

Maybe it has something to do with W98. You might also want to consider giving v4 a try. Still in beta, but very close, and very stable. It's at http://www.milonic.com/4beta/menu.htm.
