SLOOOOW menues with Netscape 4.79 (RC1)

Starting with beta release 4.12, I noticed that my menues seemed to be loading much slower under Netscape 4.79 (Win98) than when viewed under IE or even other versions of Netscape. I was in the process of checking to make sure it was not something else that I had changed in the new site I am developing when I noticed the RC1 was posted. After a quick download and a few tests, it appears that the problem is still there.

Using local copies of the sample html and menu files, moving from the horiz. sample to the RTL sample takes about 3 seconds under IE5.5, but takes nearly 15 seconds with Netscape 4.79. Again this is using the RC1 version.

Using the 4.13 sample menues on-line produces about the same results.

Any chance of improving the speed under NS4?
