RC6 and Safari

Sorry, boss, but still the same problem; i.e., status info only displays when the cursor is on a 1px line just above and below the menu text. Everything else appears to be OK.

I still think this has to do with the cursor itself, which does not always take on the proper shape for the type of text it is hovering over.
