My menus are trying to access a "1" file (see second log paragraph below - log is from Microsoft WebApp Stress Tool). I've done the obvious things - search for a "1" directory or "1" file, and search the js files for any reference to a "1" file with no luck. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Can you post a URL so we can look at your site and code?

Its tough to help ya without a URL...you're leaving us in the dark. We've never heard of such a thing before so we have nothing to go on. But since its brand new to me and I've never heard of the menu doing this before, I would have to point the finger at your web stress tool. Sorry. Try a different tool and see whatcha get.
