Missing menu

I feel stupid here - I've been using the v3 menu for a long time, with no problems. I must say, this is a great product.

However, I downloaded v5 today and can't get it to work. The sample 1 works fine on my local hard drive - loads up with the menu, using menu.htm, milonic_src.js, and menu_data.js, just as they arrived in the download package.

However, I upload these same three files to my web server (running IIS), and get nothing - the menu doesn't show up. I've changed nothing in the three files, and I am putting them in the root directory on my server (I thought it might be a directory problem).

Am I missing something?

Got a URL so we can see what's happening and also grab a look at your code? Makes it much easier that way.

Sure. I used the menu.htm from the download - when it didn't work, I removed everything except the call to the menu source. I still get nothing displayed.

I also tried renaming the .js files to shorter names, but made no other change to them. They are called msource.js and mdata.js, and they are in the same directory (root) as menu.htm.

I also cleared my browser cache, just in case, but same result.

It is at http://www.freeopendiary.com/menu.htm.

Thanks for your help,

Just clicked the link in my reply, and it's not working because of the period at the end.

It's at:

Thanks again,

Never mind - I didn't realize that I needed to have the mmenudom.js and mmenuns4.js files on the server as well. I assumed that because the other two were called by the sample, they were all that was necessary.

I guess if I looked farther in the .js files, I would find that they call these other files.

Thanks for trying to help.

No problem. It's actually more gratifying when you solve it yourself, not only for us, but especially for you.

Keep up the good work :!:
