Exception in Internet Explorer - Memory problem?

Hi,

Sometimes when I navigate thru the menu I get such an exception

Application popup: IEXPLORE.EXE - Application Error : The instruction at "0x6419af97" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program

Any idea what might be causing this?

When I use a web testing tool, and record the navigtion , and run the tool in a loop, this exception occurs all the time.

Thanks
vimal

This happend with a beta version of the menu. It was fixed before the menu went to release candidate though so it might be an idea to upgrade,

Latest is http://www.milonic.com/v5_rc4/menu.htm

Cheers

Hi,

I tried the new version 5 rc 4.

But even the sample code fails consistently(same exception from Internet Explorer) when I click the vertical menu and horitontal menu options.

Thanks
vimal

Post a URL so we can take a look. Also, what version of IE and OS are you running?

I tried it on IE version 5.5(plus its variants with service packs) and IE 6.0 .
I did a regression testing of our website as well as Milonic website using QuickTest Professional version 6.
And I get the memory exception

Application popup: IEXPLORE.EXE - Application Error : The instruction at "0x727f324b" referenced memory at "0x0315a7d4". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program

RC8 is current. Get it from the main site. However, there seems to be a little glitch over there, so to get 8 go to any of the examples on the site and download that. Downloading from the regular link gives RC6.

I don't think we're looking at a menu problem here. Second request for a URL so we can take a look at your code and also see if your site fails the same way in our browsers.
