Drop Down remaining after leaving header

As I'm new to this menu system I hoping some of you gurus can solve a small problem.

I'm testing the drop-down features.

I have are a number of Horizontal main menu items, some with drop-downs and some without.

When moving the cursor over the items with drop-downs everything works perfectly.

When the cursor moves from a 'drop-down enabled main-menu item' to a 'non-drop-down item', the sub menus of the first item remain instead of disappearing.

To see what I mean try the URL below and just pull the cursor over the main headings from the very left to the right moving from 'Programs' to 'Directors'.

The sub menu from 'Programs' remains when the cursor is over 'Directors' and even if 'Directors' is clicked.

Question? How can I make the sub-menus disappear as the cursor moves over a new header item, whether or not it has a sub-menu?

The only solution I've come up with is to have a drop-down on every main-menu item.

Thanks in advance.

Same here, got nothin'. Just to throw an idea at you, make sure the 'keepalive' setting is set to nothing.

First, and probably main, problem. You are literally about 20 levels down for the v3 series. You're running 3.3.19, with the current version at 3.5.15. Always get your updates here, not from dynamicdrive (good guess?).

See http://www.milonic.co.uk/menu/download.php for the latest, then we'll look at the rest. On a quick glance I didn't see anything jump out at me, so this might be all you need.

Thank for the advice.

Everything works now that I have updated to the latest version. I do a lot of programming so you would think I would have thought of that. Just another senior moment I guess.

Thanks again.

Not to worry. Glad you got it working. Now - consider v5 :!:

And don't ask me how "senior" I am... :D

Judging by the length of that beard John, I'd say 'very' ;-)

Between you and Andy, Fred, I might just have to break my flying ban and come over there and 'clean house'... :D Anyway, it's not nearly that long any more.

Thank you, "gentlemen" ;)

Judging by the quality of your work, you'd be more than welcome to come over and be let loose on my site!

Thanks for the kind words. Most appreciated. However, it's made a lot easier by the kind of product Andy puts out, as I'm sure you'll agree.

I'll say. I was just saying on another post that of all the problems I've seen on here, not one has been down to a bug in the menu, but down to our implementation of it.

The quality of it makes me feel kind of bad for getting it for free as an educational licence. I have promised that I will repay my debt by contributing on here as often as I can. Plus free beer for Andy, you and Hergio if you are ever in Manchester!
