Home button border and background

I've successfully adjusted menuarray, added menus and styles, the only problem is the home button.

Looks good mouse off, but mouse over, there's a border of what should be the whole mouseover background color, and differently colored center so text "home" doesn't show on mouseover. I've tried changing lots of properties but nothing affects this. It showed up right from the beginning as soon as I changed the font and background colors, but no other button does this. What should I be looking for?
