Top Menu 4 Query

I am very new to designing websites, well actually learning, so i would like some basic advice please.

I am using the top menu DHTML link.

I have 3 frames in my webpage template file.
the HTML menu is located in the top frame, always visible.

When i click a link, i want the link selected to be targetted to either a new _blank page or the mainFrame frame of my webpage.

By default it is selecting the same frame as the menu is situated.
