Adjusting to screen resolution

Hi everyone. I'm not entirely sure if what I'm asking is outlandish or not, we'll see.

I was wondering if the menu was able to detect what a user's resolution was and adjust itself accordingly? Because when I make the menu horizontal, it might cover up some of the rest of the page, just because I got it sized perfectly for 800x600.

So, is this possible?
