If I set the menu to be centered, part of the menu's left side is cut off at 640x480. This is even if I set the page to be 800 pixels wide.
If I disable the centering, the menu is fully displayed at 640x480.
Any ideas? I need the menu centered - I've had to remove and resize things as it is to make most of it fit.

Hi dmjerbear,
I had a look at your menu. In IE6.0, your menu rendered at 642 pixels wide. So, as you've seen, this won't work well for 640x480 displays. Plus, as I'm sure you know, you have to save some space for the sides of the browser window itself (even when maximized), as well as for a vertical scrollbar, which some of your pages will probably have. It seems that you have two choices: (1) Try to combine two main menu items into one. (2) Continue trying to make the window even narrower. I see that your padding is already set to 2, so there isn't much wiggle room there. Maybe try a normal font weight, instead of bold. Also, Verdana is a fairly wide font. If you have to stick with it, try bumping the size down a little (currently at 12... try 11). If you can use a different font, maybe try something a little narrower, like Arial or Tahoma... to me, Tahoma looks similar to Verdana, but saves a little in horizintal space. Arial has the virtue of being standard on every Windows installation as well as being even narrower.
Hope that helps,
Kevin

Found an easy solution - have a look!
Thanks for the ideas.

Brilliant! (I am currently slapping myself in the head.) Looks good.
If I may be so bold as to make one tiny suggestion: The third-level Studies in Spanish menus pop up to the left, even at 1024x768. If you could make the menu narrower, it should be able to pop up to the right at 1024x768 or higher.
Again, look good!
