Keyboard Handlers

For accessibility purposes, I'd like to add keyboard event handlers in addition to the onmouseover and onmouseout event handlers. I tried adding onfocus and onblur to some of the functions in mmenu.js. I haven't had any success. Has anyone tried it and made it work? I'm using the basic menu system (easy menu sample).
