How to set width of menu to 100%

My horizontal Menu looks great at 800 x 600, going accross the whole screen but is too large or too small at other resolutions.

What is the proper code to set it to 100% width and then do I have to specify a height, and once again what is the correct code?

I am attempting to do the same. So far no luck. Actually, what I really need is the ability to set the menu to 100% of the TABLE CELL it occupies. Any ideas out there?

I did by the way figure it out. I simply put my whole webpage inside a table set at 800 pixels wide. So now, no matter what resolution the screen is the menu is the same.
